Membership includes monthly meetings with a guest lecturer and refreshments, great conversation, and the chance to socialize with archaeological professionals and avocational members. Our members receive a monthly newsletter and have opportunities to participate in field trips, seminars, as well as field and lab work. Projects include archaeological digs, rock art recording and other cooperative activities with various institutions during the course of the year. Also we have an annual potluck supper at our December meeting which is a tradition that everyone enjoys.
Regular meetings are held at 7:30 pm on the third Tuesday of each month (except August and December) in the auditorium of the Albuquerque Museum, 2000 Mountain Road NW, Albuquerque (in Old Town). There is a guest speaker at each meeting and we work hard to be sure that you are guaranteed a wide variety of interesting and informative lectures. Our speakers are chosen from a diversity of professionals and scholars in archaeology and related fields. Our own Society members also provide a vast pool of experts from different fields of study who are happy to share their knowledge and expertise and tell some great stories, too.
Please click the link to our 2017 membership application below, print it out, fill it out, and either mail it in or bring it to any meeting with your membership dues. We’d love to see you!
