Field Trip Announcements

A Docent Tour of Albuquerque Museum’s exhibit Visions of the Hispanic World. Docent: Carol Chamberland

To See: The exhibition “Visions of the Hispanic World: Treasures from the Hispanic Society Museum & Library” which includes over 200 of the most exceptional works spanning over 3,000 years from the collections of the Hispanic Society of America in New York city.

Limitations: Group size: 12 current AAS members.

Tour : 10:30- 12:00

Fee: $5.00 pay to the Albuquerque Museum. AAS will waive the AAS $10 fee.

Tour of the Museum of Southwest Biology- UNM Campus -the museum is a premiere research collection museum.

To see: collections of Mammals, Reptiles, and Birds; Guided by the collection managers

$10 AAS fee will be collected at the March 19 AAS meeting or at the Museum on 3/29.

  1. Hello, I’m a archeology student up here in Alaska. I’ll be visiting your area from December 5th- the 15th. I was hoping to beable to learn as much about the sites in this region during this time. Will you be having any field trips or active sites during this time period? If so I’d love to tag along.

    • Hello David. Unfortunately December is not a month that we schedule field trips due to weather. Although, Coronado Historic Site and Jemez Historic site will be open throughout your visit and a joint pass can be purchased at either site for $7. Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to seeing you.
